We’re thrilled to share that Commonwealth Beacon is shining a light on the groundbreaking Lynn CALM Team — the unarmed, community-based response program operated by Eliot Community Human Services in partnership with the City of Lynn.

Designed to promote compassionate, trauma-informed public safety, the CALM Team provides crisis intervention, de-escalation, and connection to services without involving law enforcement. This model is helping to prevent unnecessary arrests, reduce strain on first responders, and ensure residents receive the support they need.
