Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative

Our Child, Youth, and Family Services spring from the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) which encompasses multiple service systems that include: Intensive Care Coordination, Family Support and Training, In-Home Therapy, Therapeutic Mentoring, Outpatient Therapy, and Psychiatry, and Mobile Crisis Intervention. In all services, the youth and caregivers play a strong and active role in determining treatment and support options that will highlight the family’s strengths. All services are voluntary. Eligibility is determined by the assessed needs of child and enrollment in MassHealth. Our services are based on the following principles:

The Wraparound Approach – A proven approach that provides the most effective outcomes for children and their families.

Individualized and Strength Based – Individualized Planning and are essential and are based on the unique strengths and needs of each child and his/her family.

Parents And Caregivers Are The Experts On Their Children – Families participate fully in all aspects of planning for the care of their child.

Culturally Competent Programming – An essential element of effective treatment, Eliot’s approach is sensitive to a family’s particular ethnic and religious backgrounds and values.
